The Chiefs of Ontario’s Education Sector is pleased to announce the upcoming Special Education Sharing Forum on November 28-29, 2023. We have many exciting keynote speakers and presenters lined up, and numerous breakout sessions planned! 

Forum Highlights include:

  • Information sharing on incorporating culture into special education programming

  • Breakout sessions focused on collaboration, networking, and interactive learning

  • There will be door prizes, exhibitors, breakfast and lunch provided on both days.

Registration is now open! Each Participant is required to register for the Special Education Sharing Forum using the link below. The event will be hosted in-person and the main plenary will be available in a virtual format alternative. Please note breakout sessions will not be hybrid or recorded.

Who should attend: First Nation Teachers, Administers, Education Directors

Accommodations: A block of rooms has been set aside at the Courtyard by Marriott Hotel, 475 Yonge St, Toronto, at a special rate of $274.00 per night plus applicable taxes. These rooms will be available at this rate until November 3 2023. Important notice:

  • Please continue to check back regularly as this site will be updated with important documentation leading up to the engagement sessions.

  • Two participants employed or designated by a First Nation or First Nation representative entity will be reimbursed for their travel costs and arrangements after the event. Other First Nation participants can register at no charge, but travel costs will not be reimbursed. 

  • The registration fee for Non-First Nation Affiliated Individuals or Organizations is $200, and the registration fee for government officials is $400. The Tradeshow / Vendor fee is $150.00 plus a donated gift (minimum value $30.00) for our daily door prize draws. The travel claim information will be provided at a later date.
