The Chiefs of Ontario Justice Sector and Social Services Sector are co-hosting a forum on child and family welfare law-making.

The forum will include a presentation on the obstacles and strategies for creating a child and family welfare law from Dr. Hadley Friedland and Koren Lightning-Earle, J.D., professors from the University of Alberta and experts in the area of Indigenous law-making and child welfare. There will also be a presentation from Sinéad Dearman, Associate at OKT LLP on coordination agreements and an address from representatives from Wabaseemoong Independent Nations (WIN) on their child welfare authority and customary care code. The forum will include time for open dialogue, Q&A, and take-away materials.
