Save the Date
The Chiefs of Ontario will host the Fall Chiefs Assembly (FCA) on November 18-19, 2025, in Toronto, Ontario. The two-day assembly will include critical updates on a variety of issues and priorities for First Nations in Ontario.
Toronto is the ancestral territory of many nations, including the Anishnabeg, Chippewa, Haudenosaunee, and Wendat peoples. Toronto is also part of Treaty 13, signed by representatives of the Crown and Mississaugas of the Credit, as well as the Williams Treaties, signed with various Mississauga nations.

If your community sends a proxy (from the First Nation Governance), please provide the secretariat with your “Letter of Proxy” (template below) in advance.
This must be received prior to attending the Fall Chiefs Assembly on November 18-19, 2025. Please send your proxy letter to the attention of Erin Bob at Erin.Bob@coo.org
Dialogue Sessions
Save the Date
The Chiefs of Ontario will be hosting two virtual dialogue sessions in advance of the 2025 Fall Chiefs Assembly.
Day 1 will take place on Friday, November 7, 2025, from 10:00 AM to 1:15 PM ET, and will feature discussions on key issues, including Policing and First Nations Litigation, the Ontario First Nations Off-Reserve Housing Centre, First Nations Information Governance Centre Project, and the UNDA Annual Report and Implementation.
Day 2 will take place on Friday, November 14, 2025, from 10:00 AM to 12:30 pm ET, and will feature discussions on key issues, including: Ontario Region Opioid Crisis Response, Ontario Regional Approach to Bill 5 and Bill C-5, and an update on the Bilateral Education and Learning Table (OBELT) and First Nation Lifelong Learning Tables (FNLLT).
