Engagement Session Documents & Resources

*The session will be an opportunity for First Nations to inform ISC on education infrastructure needs and challenges in communities, identify elements that should be considered when prioritizing education infrastructure projects and discuss how communities would like to be involved in the decision-making process.  Your input will assist ISC as they move into making updates to the SPRF.

To help guide the discussion, please consider the following questions in advance of the engagement session:

  • What factors should we consider in determining if a school needs renovations, an expansion, or to be replaced?

  • Should Natural Hazards be included in the School Priority Ranking Framework?  What Natural Hazards should be included?

  • How should communities without an existing school be ranked within the SPRF?

  • How would we like to see First Nations communities involved in the use of the School Priority Ranking Framework?

  • How should First Nations partners and organizations be involved in the investment planning process for education infrastructure?
