Ontario Final Agreement - Implementation Ceremony
Ontario Final Agreement - Implementation Ceremony
The Chiefs of Ontario and Nishnawbe Aski Nation are co-hosting a ceremony to celebrate the historic approval and implementation of the Ontario Final Agreement. This milestone secures the resources and jurisdiction necessary for First Nations to reclaim control over child and family services, ensuring children grow up immersed in their culture and supported by their communities. This ceremony honors the culmination of decades of advocacy by Leadership and community members to eliminate systemic discrimination and build a future grounded in inherent rights and self-determination.
