The Office of the Commissioner of Indigenous Languages (OCIL) is undertaking research to assess the adequacy of current funding mechanisms supporting Indigenous language revitalization efforts across Canada. The Chiefs of Ontario Education Sector is supporting OCIL in this matter by hosting two half-day virtual engagement sessions for the Ontario region. We invite participants involved in First Nation language revitalization to attend and share insights on best practices, gaps created by current funding structures and opportunities for transformation and innovation.
